In an effort to connect with markets that were, in virtually all ways unfamiliar with the Mexx brand, the design was conceptualized utilizing what has become a fashion industry standard, the Polaroid image. Thousands upon thousands of Polaroids were shot and branded and then distributed throughout 5 key markets on the eastern seaboard: Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New Jersey, Long Island and New York City, all with contact information directing consumers to a series of in-store events and, ultimately, a large scale Fashion Show and after party in D.C. The images, being personal and intimate in nature created an immediate interest and consumer follow up, resulting in a highly successful initiative.
Work on the project included Art Direction, Print Production (including custom 5" x 7" acrylic invitations for the fashion show), and Production Management for the in-store events.
